Has anyone used pidgin.im?
I'm wondering because my friend just told me about it.
I have trouble getting JAW's to work with anything, but then again that could be because I have a computer guy who hasn't taught me anything. He can't tell his butt from a hole in the ground. Lol.
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has used it & if so, what key commands do you all use.
Also if I only stay with one chat room, pidgin being one that links up with 16 different messengers at once, I've got an MSN account now.
So again, I see lots of you have MSN chats, what key commands do you use/find to be helpful?
And what do you do when you have trouble with JAW's, or have you had any JAW's conflicts that need to be ironed out.
What I means is I can't even get JAW's to talk once I get into a messenger. r I can't get the mesenger to run at all on my desktop.
If anyone can provide any insight, I'd really appreciate it.

as for msn messenger you can use the f6 key to view all past messages, a history of the whole conversation. to read the messages, just use the up and down arrow keys. there's also alt n, it sends something called a nudge. if you're doing something else, a nudge will make a small sound on your computer alerting you that someone is still trying to talk to you.

From what I vaguely recall, pigeon isn't accessible. the only multi instant messenger client that is fairly accessible that I'm aware of is miranda.
If you're using windows live (msn) and jaws, you can use alt+a number from 1 being the most recent, to 0 being the 10th farthest out message. do a double tap on it to vurtualize it. Hope that helps some, and if you want clarification, feel free to ask.
hmmm, does that work in windows messenger 2009?. it stopped working when i upgraded
just figured i'd put this out here for anyone who would like to try miranda and if you wish to try taht and see what you like better.
Miranda can be retrieved from miranda-im.org or for the andrey lewy version hat a lot of people are using its andreylewis.com/mirandaunconfigured.exe
if you do get that one from andrey the hotkeys to bring up your contact list and when someone mesages you to bring up the message windows the contact list key is control shift a, and the one for the messenger conversations is control shift i. The reason for the hotkeys is because when you recieve a message it does not popup like it would on msn or aim messenger. miranda wil stick the msg in your system tray buy your clock and such. If you do chose to try miranda and you need any help with it ask me or anyone lse who you know of who usses it and use any means to contact me.
I haven't tried windows live 2009 yet. I'll have to give it a look.
